"Two people who do not recognize each other, who remain alone as a couple: He only sees himself. Only hears himself. Loves only himself. Narcissus, the beautiful who disdains everyone. The nymph Echo; unable to address himself Only able to repeat what he says she becomes a distorting mirror, a shadow, remains unseen and desperate in it.

How much self-love can a partnership, even just one person, endure? How much sacrifice am I willing to give to another? How do you save yourself from not completely dissolving under this burden? Tillmann Becker's choreographic work does not show any mythical figures from a distant past, but a man and a woman in the here and now. They get out of their rhythm, at first very easily, then more and more. Initially a duet, the movements become increasingly delayed until they both lose each other completely and become soloists.
